Rules:

The point of this game is to defeat all the enemies within the 10 different waves of enemies. Enemies are not random and the waves are different from each other, but they are the same every time.

You have 5 lives that can renewed by collecting the power-up, "catnip", but the powerups can also be used for a spread shot. 

Controls:

The buttons X and Z are used to shoot and start the game. X is a regular shot while Z is a spread shot.

Use the arrow keys to move the ship anywhere on the screen.

Behind the scenes:

This project was probably one of the longest project I have ever done in my life as a high-schooler. What was difficult about it was trying not to lose interest in it. Multiple times throughout production of the game, I would want to completely shift gears, which then costed me the quality of my game in the end. It's a shame it didn't turn out the way I knew it could've, but I still enjoy the outcome and feel proud about it. It's clearly an unfinished game, but it's still an accomplishment for me. I have almost no background in coding and would've never dreamt of doing anything like this.
